Lakers Face Play-In Tournament Position and Could Face Steph Curry and Warriors

It didn’t take long for Damian Lillard to get going after dropping 38 points on Friday night.

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 106-101 shooting 95.2 percent from the free-throw line.

“Only the top six seeds in each conference will advance to the first round of the postseason automatically. Teams that finish seventh through tenth place will participate in a single-elimination play-in tournament beginning May 18,” via Bleacher Report.

Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 36 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Alex Caruso combined for 35 points while Kyle Kuzma and Andre Drummond struggled from the field.

Without LeBron James who’s recovering from his ankle injury…the Lakers need every win in order to escape the play-in tournament.
