Another terrible tragedy where a woman lost her life too soon because a man couldn’t just leave her alone.
The accused killer is Multi-Platinum Songwriter J. Wright.
Multi-platinum songwriter J.Wright was arrested for the fatal shooting of his 20-year-old girlfriend, Wilanna Bibbs.
Law enforcement arrived at the couple’s Iowa residence in response to a domestic disturbance call on Sunday, May 9. When police arrived, Bibbs was discovered dead at the scene.
Upon news of Bibbs’ death, a family member spoke out against the 31-year-old Atlanta native — who’s worked with Timbaland, Bow Wow, Omarion, Lil Fizz, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Nipsey Hussle, DJ Khaled, and Future — and accused him of manipulating and controlling Bibbs throughout their relationship. The same family member also addressed Wright directly by leaving a comment on one of the songwriter’s Instagram posts.
“You took her to Iowa and killed her on Mother’s Day, you threatened to kill my daughter also a few ago in ATL,” the cousin wrote. “You brainwashed & manipulated my cousin and tried to turn her against us. I hate she loved you, I hate she ever met you.”
Wright has asked for a court-appointed attorney because he claims he is broke.
