Yesterday, footage went viral, of MMA star Joe Schilling, knocking a man out at a bar, that he tried to move to the side. This man was acting out of line here, and Schilling took to his Instagram stories to add some context.
“Self-defense is apparently not what this country is about anymore. Don’t trip, I got the video. Love you guys, thanks for the concern and support during my life-threatening experience. Big shout out to The Yard Muay Thai for preparing me for this life-threatening situation
Schilling says that this man continued to say the n-word, including using music lyrics for it in the process. The man was “rapping like an idiot,” as he was saying “Me and broke ni–as we don’t get along.” That was after a Black busboy was passing by.
A woman soon went in Schilling’s DM, to explain how the man that was knocked out was physically abusive to her friend in the past. She added that he is “absolutely horrible,” to other women. She even noted that this is how he acts at bars and wasn’t shocked at all about his behavior.
Another woman said that the man knocked out was her ex-boyfriend.
