Last week Richard Sherman was arrested for a slew of charges that included driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and a few others.
It was after he got into some kind of dispute with his wife’s father, and she called the police because she was worried about his mental health.
While making the call to 911, the operator was extremely rude and didn’t seem like she cared that Sherman’s wife, Ashley Moss, was worried about Sherman. Things could have gone a lot worse given how bad the 911 operator was at her job.
Since then, lots have people have called for the 911 operator to be fired and have even made calls to the City of Redhmond’s Communications Center, which was the wrong place, and King County Sheriff’s Office to have her fired.
They apparently didn’t agree that the operator was extremely unprofessional and issued a statement of support via the City of Redmond saying
“I am proud of the actions of our Redmond Police personnel involved with this incident, including the very professional work of our emergency communications specialists,” said Redmond Police Chief Darrell Lowe. When listening to the Redmond 911 calls, you will hear the voices of the two male Redmond 911 specialists who remained calm and were empathetic and supportive of the caller in a time of crisis.”
They really don’t like Black people.
