Dell and Sonya Curry shocked everyone after they announced they were getting a divorce earlier this week.
In the divorce docs, they both accused each other of cheating on the other, with Dell saying he shouldn’t have to pay alimony because she cheated and has been living with another man and Sonya saying everyone in the family knows he’s been cheating on her since he was in the NBA.
Many people started shooting their shots at Sonya now that she’s available but also, lots of people also wanted to know who she allegedly cheated on him Dell with.
Wonder no more.
According to TMZ, Dell has accused her of cheating on him with former Patriots TE Steven Johnson, who she is also dating according to him.
Dell Curry says his estranged wife, Sonya, cheated on him with a former New England Patriots tight end … and then lied to him about it.
It’s all spelled out in court docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, in which Steph Curry’s father says Sonya is, and has been, dating Steven Johnson — a 6th-round pick in the 1988 NFL Draft.
In the docs, Dell says Sonya “began her extramarital affair with Mr. Johnson during the marriage and prior to the date of separation, and she lied to [Dell] each time she cheated on him.”
Dell, in the docs, says Sonya is actually living with Johnson in Tennessee … and claims she should not be entitled to alimony because of it.
Sonya says she isn’t living with Johnson, but that could be semantics.
If Dell can prove she is living with him, he wouldn’t have to pay her alimony. If Sonya wants to get paid, she might have to stay at an apartment until the judge rules in her favor and keep that residence while shacking up with Johnson. There are some weird loopholes about that.
She could rent out a house or apartment while living full-time with Johnson, and it would be up to Dell to prove any shady activity. I am certain private investigators are going to be on this case.
One really sad thing. It appears that Johnson was a friend of the family and was friends with Dell before he stole his wife.
