Former NFL player Junior Galette has had a feud with the NFL for quite some time now. He has been calling out the National Football League for quite a few months now.
Despite having a productive season for the Washington Football Team, Galette claims he was offered less than his white counterparts, more specifically Trent Murphy.
“I’ve been blackballed since speaking out on pay discrimination in 2018. In 2017 I played every game, all 16 games. I was never on the injury report. I played well enough for the Redskins, or the team formerly known as the Redskins, the Washington football team. They offered me a two-year deal,” Galette told Inside Edition Digital in 2020.
“I had already seen my teammate, a white guy from Stanford, Trent Murphy, he was coming off a torn ACL in a season where he didn’t even play,” he said. “He didn’t play a single down. He was also suspended for four games for PEDs, while missing the whole year.”
Galette seems to have a lot of time on his hands as he went on Twitter to rant more about the NFL and call out Jon Gruden for lying about not talking to his brother about Galettes contract compared to Murphys. He also claims the NFL is coming after him and trying to kill him for his case against the league.
These are some wild allegations that may be true because the NFL has had a history of racism from the front office and head coach positions all the down to the quarterback.
Galette does have a checkered past himself. In January of 2015, Galette was accused of assaulting a woman and got arrested and charged with simple battery involving domestic violence. However, the charges were dismissed, but the league still suspended him for two weeks.
Galette was also arrested in April 2017, when he was chased down and tased by police.
