You knew Chloe Bailey would come with some HEAT for Halloween, and she didn’t disappoint with her Lolo from Shark Tale’s costume.
Shark Tale is a 2004 American computer-animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by DreamWorks Pictures. Directed by Vicky Jenson, Bibo Bergeron, and Rob Letterman (in Letterman’s feature directorial debut), the film contains an ensemble cast starring the voices of Will Smith, Jack Black, Robert De Niro, Renée Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, and Martin Scorsese. Other voices include Ziggy Marley, Doug E. Doug, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Pastore, Peter Falk, Kevin Pollak and Katie Couric. It tells the story of a fish named Oscar (Smith) who falsely claims to have killed Franklin (Imperioli), the son of a shark mob boss named Donald (De Niro), to advance his community standing and teams up with the mobster’s other son Leonard (Black) to keep up the other facade.
Shark Tale opened at #1 with $47.6 million, which was, at the time, the second-highest opening for a DreamWorks Animation film behind Shrek 2 ($108 million). It remained the #1 film in the U.S. and Canada for its second and third weekends.
Overall, it grossed $160.9 million in North America and $213,7 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $374.6 million. That made it the ninth highest-grossing film of 2004.
As far as Lola, here is how her character is described.
Lola is Don Lino’s former partner-in-crime/right-hand, Oscar’s ex-girlfriend/former second most personal arch-nemesis, and Angie’s former arch-rival in the animated movie Shark Tale.
Lola likes to be hot stuff, and she only cares for money, using Oscar, and making Angie jealous. She can be quite fierce and strong when she angrily threw Oscar across the room. All the male fish are attracted to her.
If there is one thing Lola likes better then money, it is revenge. In the end, she tries to get back with Oscar (unaware that he lied), but she ends up with Crazy Joe instead and he turns the lights off. It’s unknown if Crazy Joe ended up dating Lola or not.
