Fetty Wap is a fan favorite music artist, and he was set to perform at Rolling Loud on Thursday. Unfortunately, the rapper was arrested via TMZ by the FBI in Citi Field, New York.
Rolling Loud is an event where some of the biggest names come out to perform their hits with a massive lineup of talent.
Whatever happened to Fetty Wap between 2016 up until now, he probably had the wrong people in his corner.
It’s been years since we’ve seen Fetty Wap in the limelight, and Rolling Loud would’ve brought fans back to the 2010s with good hits.
According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Fetty and others distributed more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine across Long Island and New Jersey. The feds claim the drugs were first obtained on the West Coast and used USPS vehicles with secret compartments to smuggle them East.
The docs say during their investigation, they obtained $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, pistols, handguns and a rifle.
Sometimes celebrities who aren’t seen anymore often get into trouble, and it eventually catches up with them on their comeback.
Other artists such as 50 Cent performed, and he brought out DaBaby, who caused controversy after his statement on the LGBTQ community.
These are serious charges, and if convicted, Mr. Wap could face life in prison. Mr. Wap’s lawyer says this is all a misunderstanding, and he isn’t a drug kingpin like the FEDS are making him out to be.
The docs don’t specify if Mr. Wap was the leader or just a part of the organization. He was obviously the most prominent name, and that is why the FED made a big show of arresting Mr. Wap at Rolling Loud. We will see if any of the charges stick; we have seen many rappers get caught up and end up spending years in jail because of it.
