The whole point of flying a private jet is privacy, convenience, and luxury.
You aren’t expected to be treated like a regular passenger. You are expected to be treated like a VIP. It would offend me if, as soon as I stepped on a private jet, a white flight attendant asked me if I was smoking weed on the plane. That is a disrespectful question that I highly doubt he would ask white passengers.
Meek had every right to be upset about this. Even if the flight attendant doesn’t think he is racist, it was a stereotypical question. A rapper and a bunch of black guys on the private plane they must be smoking weed. Here is the thing, they could have smoked 100lbs of weed before they stepped on the plane, but as long as they weren’t smoking on there and were being professional, then it isn’t your job to police their lifestyle.
“So you just said we was smoking on a plane, we just came on here 30 seconds ago,” the Philadelphia native told the attendant, who replied that he smelled marijuana.
“But where are we going to smoke at if we just stepped on here 30 seconds ago?” Meek replied, turning the camera around to show his crew seated and preparing for takeoff.
“Like, where would a blunt be rolled up at if we just sat here?,” the visibly irritated rapper continued.
At this point, Meek was fed up and didn’t feel safe flying, so he and his entourage got off the plane.
I can’t say that I blame him, and Meek needs to let everyone know what company he was working with, so others with money like him know not to fly with them until they get flight attendants that treat their passengers with respect no matter if they are black or white.
This was disgusting to watch.
