This is what happens when you are so bent on trashing someone. You ignore all distractions and focus on trashing the person just to feel good about yourself.
The above is what happened when a Philadelphia radio caller called into 94 WIP sports radio on Friday to trash Ben Simmons over his mental health issues claims that are preventing him from getting back to the court.
The caller, James, had some thought to share about Ben Simmons not getting back onto the court over his mental health issues, and nothing could even distract him from airing his opinion.
As James got into it, someone hit his car and drove off, and James wasn’t bothered about the accident as he continued to share his thought on Ben Simmons’ mental health issues. Nothing stopped James from trashing Ben. Not even the car accident.
Via BroBible:
As Angelo Cataldi and the Morning Team answers James’ call, they ask him how he is doing.
“Oh, not bad,” James said. “Someone just hit my car… and they are driving off, that’s okay.”
You can even hear the contact that the car made with James’ car on the broadcast.
Absolutely baffled by what they were hearing, Cataldi and Rhea Hughes offered suggestions for how to proceed. Hughes suggested that the reader should read the license plate out loud so that they could write it down.
James was bent on making his point clear about Ben Simmons, so he ignored the hit-and-run car accident and continued with his submission.
“They swerved into my lane,” James continued. “Oh well, anyway, I was calling about Ben Simmons.”
“You just got into a car accident, and you’re calling about Ben Simmons?” Cataldi asked in a confused tone.
“Yeah, cuz he annoys me more than someone hitting me with their car and driving off,” James said in response.
This should tell you that Philadelphia folks are on a different level when it comes to fans supporting their teams.
