Urban Meyer Replies to Accusation He Used Trayvon Martin’s Photo to Help Institute a No Hoodie Policy at The Ohio State

Urban Meyer is such a terrible person, so you know this could be true even if he is denying it.

Ex-Buckeyes DB Marcus Williamson claims that while instituting and no hoodie policy, Urban used a photo of Trayvon Martin to get his point across. George Zimmerman murdered Martin for being black with a hoodie on in a neighborhood that Zimmerman didn’t think black kids should be in.

Meyer heard the accusation and had this to say while defending himself.

“Our team rule was no hats or hoodies or sunglasses of any kind but only in team meetings, just so we could see their eyes and make sure they were paying attention and not asleep. We did not, and never would show a picture of Trayvon Martin. My gosh, no,” Meyer said. “That is absolutely false and you can check with any other player on my teams during that time to confirm what I am saying. Other players know what he is saying is false. I would never do that. He is crossing the line here. It seems people are just piling on now. But that never happened.”

Other current and former Buckeyes players have come to Meyer’s defense while not saying specifically if the Trayvon Martin photo was ever shown.

It is possible it could have been shown without Meyer’s knowledge, but that seems like it would be hard to believe, but at the moment, you don’t know who is telling the truth or not.

Williamson goes on a long rant about Ohio State and college athletics in general. It is an interesting read.

Some of it I agree with. In other parts, it just sounds bitter he didn’t get the opportunities he thought he deserved while he was there.

You can read the whole thing by flipping the pages. Do you believe Urban on Willamson?
