Larry Johnson has taken to Instagram and attributed the Bengals’ advancement to the Super Bowl to the death of actress Regina King’s son Ian Alexander Jr. Larry claims that the Bengals advanced to the Super Bowl because Regina King sacrificed her son Ian Alexander Jr. for it to happen. Here is what Larry said in a video posted on his Instagram page.
“I told you. The reason why I picked the Bengals to win because Regina King sacrificed her son and she’s from Cincinnati….That’s how they pick em.”
Larry Johnson’s claim sounds ridiculous because it’s reported that Regina King’s son Ian Alexander Jr. died of suicide on his 26th birthday. So what’s Larry talking about? Here is Regina King’s statement announcing the sad death of her song Ian.
Regina King’s son Ian Alexander Jr. has died by suicide, PEOPLE confirms. His 26th birthday was Wednesday.
“Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian,” King says in a statement sent to PEOPLE. “He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you.”
Ian’s death was officially ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County Coroner, a spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE Monday.
He was King’s only child, whom she shared with her ex-husband, record producer Ian Alexander Sr.
Following in his father’s musical footsteps, Ian was a deejay. King previously told PEOPLE that he was “an amazing young man.”
Larry Johnson’s social media pages are filled with these types of conspiracy theories. While some will make you raise an eyebrow, this one seems a bit far-fetched. King might have been born in Cincinnati, but we don’t even know if she is a Bengals fan. She has never mentioned it, and I doubt anyone would sacrifice their son for a football team.
A lot of people believe Johnson has CTE.
