Will Smith doesn’t want to accept the fact that his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith had an entanglement with August Alsina as he boldly claims to have never had infidelity issues in his marriage. I understand Will Smith because it’s not easy for a man who loves his wife to admit her entanglement with a younger man.
According to TJB:
Will Smith is setting the record straight concerning his marriage.
During a recent interview, the 53-year-old actor stated that there had NEVER been any infidelity issues with this marriage to 50-year-old actress Jada Pinkett-Smith.
He made the comment, as he clarified rumors that Gayle King referenced during their conversation. Jada and Will married in 1997 and share two kids together.
They began to make headlines in 2020, when August Alsina described having an intimate relationship with Jada. He opened about their in an interview with Angela Yee.
There is no question that Will and Jada have had other partners during their marriage, but the way Will explains it, they couldn’t be cheated on each other if they already agreed they didn’t agree with monogamy and had an open marriage.
Here is how he explained it in his book.
Will Smith spoke candidly in a new interview about the decision he and Jada Pinkett Smith made at one point in their marriage not to practice monogamy.
“Jada never believed in conventional marriage … Jada had family members that had an unconventional relationship,” Smith, 53, said in an interview for the November cover of GQ. “So she grew up in a way that was very different than how I grew up.
“There were significant endless discussions about, what is relational perfection? What is the perfect way to interact as a couple?” Smith continued. “And for the large part of our relationship, monogamy was what we chose, not thinking of monogamy as the only relational perfection.”
