The first part of this story is fairly common for a black man driving a luxury vehicle in Beverly Hills.
They look for any reason to pull you over and then hope you have warrants or anything illegal on you. In this case, Kirk Franklin’s son Kerrion did have something illegal on him, which is why he was taken to jail. Radar Online explains what happened during a traffic stop.
Singer Kirk Franklin’s son Kerrion is being held in a Los Angeles County jail without bond after being taken into custody on Sunday.
According to court records obtained by Radar, 33-year-old Kerrion Rashad Franklin was arrested at 7:36 AM after being pulled over by the Beverly Hills Police. He was booked into jail at 10:28 AM.
Alleged details of what happened have been making the rounds on social media. Larry Reid Live says they spoke to Kerrion from jail who said he was “wrongfully arrested and stopped because of his taillight.” Kerrion claims he can’t get out of jail until Tuesday — which is when his next hearing is. He told the head of the outlet that the police allegedly found a gun in the car.
The Zeus television star allegedly told the host that he was also charged with resisting arrest — which he denied. Kerrion reportedly has to be extradited back to Texas to deal with a separate case. Kerrion is currently starring on the Zeus Network show Bad Boys: Los Angeles.
On the show, Kerrion opened up about the struggles he faced dealing with this family after coming out as a gay man.
The second part of the story is where it gets a little hazier.
IG outlet The Neighborhood Talk explains there may be another reason why he is being held without bail.
Kerrion Franklin was arrested while driving in California after a Beverly Hills police officer stopped him for a broken car taillight. When the cops searched his car, they had discovered an illegal pistol.
Now, this is where it gets crazy, after discovering the weapon, that’s when police took him in for questioning. Franklin says the pistol didn’t belong to him. It was also discovered that the car he was driving did not belong to him either….but to a missing woman who is rumored to be murdered.
There has been no confirmation on this from the cops or any other outlets, so take it with a grain of salt right now, but we will find out soon if it is true.
