Anthony Davis has gotten Lakers fans furious after he admitted that he hadn’t shot a basketball in months. This comment by a fan caught my attention. The fan replied that Davis would never shoot a basketball.
TPS got more;
On the “Nuke Squad” YouTube vlog that was posted Friday, Davis said he hadn’t shot a basketball since playing his final game on April 5.
After being sidelines for six weeks, Davis would return for the final three games. He put up 72 points and 34 rebounds in those three contests, but they all resulted in losses.
He averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 boards, and 2.3 blocks in 40 games all season.
Players obviously have every right to rest during the offseason, but after such a disappointing 2021-22 campaign, Lakers fans were apparently hoping to hear that their superstar big man was putting in some work this summer. After finding out that hasn’t been the case, Twitter went off on A.D.
I wonder what LeBron thinks about this?
Here is what Darvin Ham stated about Russell Westbrook, AD, and LeBron’s Big 3.
The Los Angeles Lakers officially introduced Darvin Ham as their new head coach on Monday, and the first-year head coach has his work cut out for him. The Lakers are coming off a subpar season and have many questions to answer, none more pressing than what to do about Russell Westbrook.
When asked about whether Russ fits with the Lakers future plans, Ham answered “absolutely,” before praising the former MVP as “one of the best players our league has ever seen.”
He continued, “I don’t know why people tend to try to write him off. I’m gonna approach him like I do every player I’ve ever encountered. We’re going to talk about our running habits with the ball, without the ball, and again, the team. The rhythm of the team and trying to establish a rhythm with LeBron, Russ, AD, and again, share the load. Defensively and offensively. Defensively is where you’re gonna see us make our biggest leaps and bounds. We have to commit to the defensive side of the of the ball or we don’t have a chance to do anything. The offense won’t even matter if we don’t get stops.”
