LeBron James Already Looking to Move On From Lakers

LeBron James’ future with the Lakers looks a bit sketchy as he’s reportedly not willing to commit to signing an extension with the Lakers before free agency begins.

According to Sam Amick of the Atlantic;

“Based on my conversations with people who have a strong sense of such things, it’s clear James is considering playing out this contract rather than signing a two-year extension this summer. If flexibility and freedom are the goals here, James (who is owed $44.4 million next season) could go back to the year-by-year approach he perfected in his second Cleveland stop.”

Side Action adds that;

After the Lakers hired Darvin Ham as head coach, LeBron James expressed his excitement. But he even admitted that he’s not close to any extension.

“The conversation hasn’t been talked about. Technically it’s because (with) the collective bargaining agreement (it) cannot even be discussed until later on in the year. So, you know, I know what’s out there. But we can’t even — myself and Rich — can’t even begin to talk with Rob, or the front office at all, because of the collective bargaining agreement. So (when) we get to that point, we’ll see,” said James.

It seems like LeBron James is all-in on trying to turn things around next season with the Lakers. But if that doesn’t happen, he might look elsewhere to search for another championship ring.

LeBron might play for another 5 years assuming good health and he would like to play with his son Bronny even though his younger brother Bryce might be better.

Bronny and Bryce James are two kids who are under a microscope. Bronny is already getting plenty of looks from schools, and when he enters the dradt, the expectations are he’ll be drafted into the second round of the NBA. Meanwhile, Bryce is only 14 years old and is already getting more shine than his older brother.

Bronny is not going to like to hear that.

All of the talk about LeBron’s sons has been focused on Bronny, now Bryce comes out of nowhere to get a positive outlook on his basketball future. The big question is, would anyone care about either Bryce or Bronny as a basketball player if LeBron wasn’t their father?
