Shaquille O’Neal is generous and this isn’t the first time he’s done this. According to Page Six, the former NBA star entered Chelsea hotspot Jue Lan Club and paid the tab for the entire restaurant after a date night with a mystery woman.
He paid for everyone in the restaurant after his date with the yet-to-be-identified woman.
Spies told us he popped in with the unidentified woman, whom he was overheard describing as “my date,” and ordered Beijing chicken, shrimp tempura and the restaurant’s signature chicken satay. “She did all the ordering,” an insider told Page Six.
After their meal, O’Neal, 50, proceeded to buy dinner for the entire server team.
“And to top that off, he paid for everyone’s check [who was] dining at the restaurant,” the source added.
We’re told O’Neal apparently wanted to keep his generosity a secret from fellow diners. He asked the staff not to mention that he was paying the bill for over 40 tables until he left the restaurant, according to our source.
We’re told the bill amounted to “well over $25,000” in checks. O’Neal was also “extremely generous” to Jue Lan’s staff. “He left them the biggest tip they’ve ever received,” the source said.
Shaq is always doing nice things like this.
The world would be a better place if we all just randomly did good deeds for each other.
You don’t have to be super rich like Shaq, just do your little part.
I don’t agree with everything that Shaq does or says, but I can report he does these types of things often and it definitely makes the world a little bit of a better place when he does.
“I seen the guy come in — he was just so shy,” Shaq said. “He was saying, ‘Hey, how much do I owe to pay off my ring.’”
“And I was like, ‘My man, how much is the ring?’ I’m not going to say the amount, but it’s not a lot for me.”
“I was like, ‘You know what? Tell your girlfriend I got her,’” Shaq said. “‘I’ll take care of it.’”
Shaq added, “At first, he didn’t want to take it. He was like, ‘Man, I can’t do that.’ I said, ‘Don’t worry about it. I do it all the time.’ I’m just trying to make people smile, that’s all.”
