Cam Newton has opened up about welcoming a child with another woman outside of his previous relationship with longtime girlfriend turned ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor. He admitted that his infidelities destroyed his relationship with Proctor and that’s true.
Proctor was hoping for marriage, but Cam had other ideas.

While speaking with The Pivot podcast, the free-agent quarterback spoke about how his infidelities ruined his relationship. There were major rumors in 2020 that he fathered a child with another woman, a son named Caesar – who he shares with La Reina Shaw.
“Honestly, it was a situation, a personal situation for me.”
“My longtime girlfriend at the time [Kia Proctor], you know, we had a family,” Newton continued. “And I made a mistake, I hurt her, and I jeopardized our family at that time and I had a child outside of our relationship. And, coming from where I come from, being the person who I am, nobody would ever speak on it because we got a lot of people who are in high powers still make humanistic mistakes, and I can honestly say I made a humanistic mistake.”
“When Ceaser Lorenzo Newton was born, I then stopped caring because I can only be the best person that I can be,” he added. “And painting this picture of a person that, ‘Aw man, I gotta act this type of way, aw man, I gotta be this type of person.’ I got so many kids now that, if I’m not Superman to them, I’ll be damned if I allow the world to call me Superman.”
“It’s just really putting certain things into perspective and, you know, it was embarrassing for me. And honestly, it is embarrassing to talk about but everybody don’t really wanna talk about real situations in life, and that molded me.”
Newton has made headlines recently for his stance on women and relationships. In April, he spoke of the difference between a “bad b—h” and a woman, from his point of view.
“Now a woman for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs. Right? And I think a lot of times when you get that aesthetic of ‘I’m a boss b—, Imma this, Imma that.’ No baby! But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet! You don’t know how to allow a man to lead,” he explained.
It’s good to come clean after messing up and that’s what Cam Newton has done.
