Steve Harvey Responds to Monique Calling Him a Sellout

I think the consensus is when you have beef with multiple people the problem might not be them, but you.

Monique has brought up some valid points in her various beefs, but that doesn’t change the fact that her delivery is often terrible.

For instance, DL Hughley had nothing to do with her not headlining an event, but she once again trashed a black man for something that wasn’t his fault.

She called Steve Harvey a c**n and he had to address that on his radio show.

Steve Harvey has responded to Mo’Nique calling him a “c**n” during her set at The Comedy Explosion in Detroit last weekend.

While speaking on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, he stated, “Let me just start by saying, I – I couldn’t care less about what you think about me. Because clearly, I’m not your problem. Anyone who really knows me can never make that statement. You trying to sound profound now? But really, girl. Girl…”

Harvey went on to address the dispute between Mo’Nique and D.L. Hughley over the contract and the headlining spot for the night. He explained, “Her management, whoever he is, simply stated ‘I got this gig, you co-headline.’ I promise you that’s what was told. … And that was incorrect information because D.L. put that contract online. He was 100 percent headlining. Co-headlining affects the money. If you’re co-headlining, you’re gonna get the same cash.”

DL Hughley has tried to peacefully end the beef, but Monique keeps talking.

Hughley said the comedian showed up to the show in Detroit two minutes before the time she was expected to arrive. According to Hughley, Mo’Nique arrived late in an effort to change the order of the show and make herself the headliner.

“The oldest trick in the world is, if I wanna change the order and I don’t have merit, I’ll try to make people wait so long that everybody gets in there and goes ‘please just go so we can avoid a conflict,” Hughley said.

Hughley also compared Mo’Nique to an arsonist, saying she set the stage on fire.

“Arsonist set s**t on fire and try to see the damage it left,” he said. “But I blame myself. Saying ‘yes’ to you is an occupational hazard.”

The comedian echoed his statement on Instagram on Tuesday as he continued to defend himself against the allegations.

“Precious was not a movie,” he said on his radio show. “Precious was an autobiography. That is who you are literally.”
