A Michigan woman named QaShontae Short dragged Richard Jordan to the law court for $10K over a bad date and then during the virtual hearing trashed the judge.
According to Daily Mail.
A Michigan woman suing her date for $10,000 for standing her up and the judge hearing her case got into a wild shouting match when she accused him of insulting her intelligence.
QaShontae Short is suing Richard Jordan in Flint, Michigan for intentional infliction of emotional distress in the court of Judge Herman Marable Jr, according to TMZ.
The suit was filed back in 2020 and Short claims Jordan ‘did not show and left on her mother’s birthday and her mom had just passed away,’ claiming he had intentionally and deliberately hurt her by doing so.
The Zoom court hearing quickly went off the rails when Short began yelling at the judge and refusing to answer his questions.
During video posted online of the hearing, Jordan, who appears to be at home, says that he’s being sued for $10,000 because of a bad date and says little else. Short appears to be taking the Zoom conference hearing at an airport.
‘To be honest with you sir, I thought this was just gonna be thrown out,’ Jordan deadpans to the judge. ‘We had a date, one date, and nothing else after that, and now I’m being sued for $10,000. I think this is a waste of your time.’
In the now viral video, Short and Judge Marable fiercely argue over whether or not standing someone up for a date is a criminal offence, with the judge eventually ripping off his large shield mask to yell at at Short as she triest to shout over him.
Short claims that Jordan perjured himself based on her claim that he lied about going on the date with her, while Marable angrily declares that Short cannot determine that.
Short has a history of filing lawsuits that eventually end up getting dismissed.
One can gather why Jordan decided he didn’t want to go on a second date.
