Tupac’s Ex-GF Desiree Smith Says He Told Her Signing With Death Row Was Like Selling His Soul to The Devil

When legends pass away, their lives live through the ones who knew them the most and spent a lot of time with them.

We get many old stories we would have never even heard about.

A recent story of Tupac and his deal with Death Row had come to light via his ex-girlfriend Desiree Smith who was with him when he signed the deal while in jail.

Smith details with The Art of Dialogue what happened when Pac signed the deal in jail, saying he needed a witness with him and chose her. She also says that after he signed it, he told her he had just signed a deal with the devil.

“It was a little crazy because—and I don’t mean this literally, but I guess, once they left, he was excited, but he did make this comment where he was like, ‘I just signed my soul to the devil.'”

“Although, it seems that after he got out, they became really good friends. But that was the mood and everything that he did, damn-near his whole life, was to make sure that he put his mother and his family in a good position for life so that they would be well. And, you know, he was going to do whatever it took.”

Even though he was joking, one would have to wonder if he really knew he had just signed a deal with the devil.

We make a million minor decisions a day that determines how that goes, but in reality, the success and failure of your life probably just comes down to a handful of decisions.

One could say signing with Death Row led Pac down a path he would never come back from, but when you are backed in a corner, it is like signing a deal with a devil, which always has consequences.
