Watch Zach Wilson’s Mom Lisa and Her Friends He Smashed Celebrate Her 50th Birthday With Dance Moves

Zach Wilson is getting ready to start his second season, and he will look to build on the limited success he had last year.

He will need limited distractions, though. One of those “distractions” last year was everything that came from his mom Lisa. Even this offseason, there were things stirred up after his ex-girlfriend said that he cheated on her with his mom’s best friend.

Wilson knows what comes with the territory of being an NFL quarterback, especially one playing for a team in New York. The Jets quarterback was a trending topic on social media earlier this summer after an ex-girlfriend accused him of cheating on her with one of his mother’s friends.

He now has a way to deal with social media. Wilson told reporters at Jets training camp on Tuesday that he is deleting his social media apps ahead of the regular season in order to block out outside noise.

“For me, it just comes down to limiting what voices I really need to hear and, right now, it’s here, hearing what my coaches have to say, what the other QBs have to say, and what my teammates are thinking on every single play,” Wilson said, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. “Even parents sometimes can be a distraction.”

“I mean, I’m not a big social media guy,” he said. “I don’t have access to that kind of stuff. I keep my mind here with the guys and in the playbook and with our coaches and learn from what those guys are telling me.”

“I want to be locked in on what’s going on on our field and in our meeting rooms,” he said.

Wilson said he started deleting his social media apps before camp while he was in college at BYU. He has a “social media team” that helps post things if needed.

“They’ll send me content — ‘Do you want to put this up or that up?’” Wilson said. “I generate stuff with our guys on our team, like, ‘Hey, I think that would be cool to post or show off so-and-so.’ But really when it comes down to just reading things, I don’t ever get into that stuff.

“I don’t ever just scroll down social media.”

Lisa, though is living life.

She recently celebrated her 50th birthday and did so in style. She had a big party and posted some pics and videos of her dancing the night away.

It looks like she had a lot of fun.
