John Salley Says Will Smith Would Have Slapped The Rock The Same Way He Slapped Chris Rock Over Jada Pinkett

It’s been five months since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, and it seems like we (as a society) haven’t moved on yet.

We are still getting new reactions, and perspectives like it happened yesterday.

The latest in NBA champion John Salley.

Salley and Will have been friends for years, with Salley even appearing in Bad Boys with Will. He feels like Will would have slapped anyone like he slapped Chris. Even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

I highly doubt he would have slapped the Rock. Smith has apologized again to Chris Rock.

A source confirmed the following: “Jada has also been pushing Will to apologise because it has become this really dark cloud over her Red Table Talk series. [He] never wanted to [publicly].”

If those comments are deemed to be true, then they are very significant for the following reasons. First of all, it would indicate a genuine lack of remorse on Will’s part as the apology could be interpreted as an attempt to minimise the damage to his reputation.

Secondly, it would also support the idea that Jada has a lot of influence in the relationship. Regardless of what the case may be, it became clear that this scandal was not going anywhere.

The source added: “His team had hoped that the controversy would die down, but it just hasn’t. It would be impossible for him to move forward successfully unless he [addressed the slap].”

Even with Will apologising, the fans on social media were not impressed. A certain subset could not put things behind them and felt this was an attempt to save face. One person wrote: “Effecting her money and rep. Sounds about right.”

Chris has yet to reach out to Will, which is why the actor has been left to ponder over the massive mistake he had made. So there you have it folks.

He does note that the only difference would have been The Rock’s reaction would have made things very physical.
