According to the New York Post, Derek Jeter’s Florida mansion that Tom Brady rented is set to be demolished. The report goes on that Tom Brady rented the mansion in 2020 during his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Here is the deal;
The Florida mansion formerly owned by Yankees legend Derek Jeter for nearly 10 years is expected to be demolished, The Post can confirm.
Located in Tampa, it’s also the home that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen rented from Jeter in 2020 during Brady’s first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Records filed in the last week show a demolition application for commercial purposes has been submitted. However, according to local news outlet 10 Tampa Bay, the application has not been completed.
If granted, the permit would bring to an end to one of Tampa’s most expensive pieces of real estate. Jeter sold the seven-bedroom, 16-bathroom estate for $22.5 million in May 2021 — marking the most expensive home ever sold in the area.
Spanning a whopping 22,000 square feet, the property boasts 345 feet of water views.
Brady was eventually forced to leave due to the lack of privacy.
“I forgot people could drive up to your house. Here they can pull right up to the back of the house,” the quarterback admitted in a 2020 interview with Howard Stern. “Derek did a pretty good job of screening it. I am a little bit of an introvert. I feel like my house is my place. I can relax … in the backyard, there’s a lot of boats that have pulled up and people at the front.”
This house is too beautiful to be demolished. I have about $3k in the bank; let me put in an offer before it is too late. I can get a payday loan or something to save the property from being demolished.
