People are using ingenious ways of smuggling weapons into countries, but thanks to technology and the vigilance of TSA Agents for always getting ahead of the game and spotting such weapons.

The most bizarre stories never cease to come out of Florida. In the latest installment, TSA agents reportedly recovered a firearm stuffed inside a raw chicken at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Per TSA spokesperson R. Carter Langston, the incident happened on Sept 27 in the airport’s checked baggage scanning facility in Terminal 4. Agents saw the raw chicken as it went through the security scanner and pulled the package for further inspection. It’s not immediately clear whether any arrests were made after the gun was recovered but Customs and Border Protection were involved due to the passenger’s foreign status.
“We hate to beak it to you here, but stuffing a firearm in your holiday bird for travel is just a baste of time. This idea wasn’t even half-baked; it was raw, greasy, and obviously unsupervised,” TSA wrote in a pun-filled statement detailing the incident along with photos of the chicken. “The only roast happening here is this poor packing choice! Feather you like it or not, there are rules for traveling with guns and ammunition.”
I have to admit that was a clever way to get your gun passed TSA. If they had done it closer to Thanksgiving, they likely would have gotten away with it. You can’t be shipping a raw chicken in September and think no one will look into that.
They should have put some seasoning in the bird to throw the dogs off the scent. That makes me think its potential was a lighter-complexion person trying to smuggle the gun, if you know what I mean.
