Brandon Marshall Pranks Chiefs Patrick Mahomes Into Thinking Rihanna Called Him The GOAT

Super Bowl LVII is Sunday and it’s expected to be a really good one between the Chiefs and Eagles.

This week though is media week and we get to see what a lot of the players are thinking before the big game. It’s very relaxed and somewhat of a fun time with a lot of jokes.

One of the biggest jokes of Super Bowl media week came from former NFL WR Brandon Marshall at the expense of Patrick Mahomes.

During Mahomes’ media time, Marshall came up with a story saying halftime performer Rihanna said he was the best QB ever and asked him how it made him feel. He responded by saying it made him feel great and that some of his family is more excited to watch her perform than his play.

I Am Athlete’s Brandon Marshall asked the Chiefs quarterback, “Rihanna came out and said you were the greatest quarterback ever. Hearing that, how does that make you feel?”

The question seemed to catch Mahomes slightly off guard, but a smile quickly emerged. He responded, “That makes me feel great. She’s going to crush it at halftime. I have family members that I think are more excited about the halftime show than they are about the game. Whatever Rihanna says is like the gospel so I’m glad that she went with me for that honor.”

Marshall then said, “She didn’t,” before adding, “I was just messing with you.” Mahomes was visibly disappointed by the prank as laughter erupted from the other media members.

He looked very upset after finding out it wasn’t true but it made for a very funny moment.

I hope it doesn’t come out that Rihanna prefers Jalen Hurts to him. That makes Mahomes so angry he might throw for 400 yards against the Eagles.
