Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you already know that Brett Favre allegedly stole money from the Mississippi welfare system.
For some reason, he hasn’t been arrested, but it seems there was plenty of proof to do so. He allegedly used the money to help build his daughter’s school and a volleyball stadium.
Lots of people talked about it and criticized him a lot for it, and now he’s upset about it. Two of the prominent people who criticized him are Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee, and he is suing them for it.
Brett Favre and his lawyer Eric Herschmann have been handing out defamation lawsuits left and right. Herschmann believes one person in particular will be out of millions of dollars as a result of it. That person in particular, is Pat McAfee.
If McAfee’s response to the lawsuit is anything to go by, the man isn’t shying away from the legal fight. The social media influencer turned the news of Favre’s lawsuit into content for his podcast.
“Shahtaht to the boys & all of the people that have followed along.. Folks are talking about ‘bankrupting’ me these days… We’ve come a lonnng way.”
After saying “My bank account to the lawyer:” further down, McAfee then attached a GIF to his tweet, of former WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson making his signature ‘Just Bring It” hand gesture.
Pat recently got served with his lawsuit and didn’t let up on his criticism of Favre. He had a funny reaction to being served and didn’t seem worried about it.
The problem that Favre is going to have is a mountain of evidence that he did what he is being accused of doing, and that he is being sued will make it hard to prove that McAfee and Sharpe hurt his reputation. His reputation was already in shambles before they even spoke about it.
