Rapper Kodak Black is both well known and loved by millions in the music industry. Unfortunately, Black aka Bill Kapri is well known in the eyes of the law for different reasons. None of the reasons are good, and this recent bit of news regarding him is no exception. Black has a warrant out for his arrest, according to NBC News:
An arrest warrant has been issued in Florida for rapper Kodak Black, on bail in a drug case, after he was alleged to have failed to show up for a drug test before he tested positive for fentanyl.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office requested the warrant, alleging that Black, also known as Bill Kapri, was a no-show for a drug test a contract testing services company was to have been administered on Feb. 3.
Not only that did he fail to make an appearance at the testing site, the drug test he did submit was not only late by five days, but also came back positive for Fentanyl.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50-100 times stronger than morphine. Real powerful stuff that affects the average person in a myriad of different ways. The DEA reports that the effects of Fentanyl include the following: relaxation, euphoria, pain relief, sedation, confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, urinary retention, pupillary constriction, and respiratory depression.
Being drug tested was part of the requirement after being released on bond, which stimulated from a prior case in which he was accused of trafficking oxycodone.
Now, at the moment it’s uncertain whether the man intends to surrender and turn himself in. His agent has declined to comment on the situation when approached by the media. The man just can’t seem to get out of his own way. Which is a shame, considering how well he’s respected in the music business.
