Former mixed martial artist Hardy started his professional career in Jun. 2018 and found his way into the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series. After a successful start in the promotion, Hardy struggled to find the same form. He was let go by the promotion after dropping three in a row to Sergey Spivak, Tai Tuivasa, and Marcin Tybura.
Following his run in UFC, Hardy tried his hand at boxing and scored impressive wins over Mike Cook and Hasim Rahman Jr.
In a recent interview with Full Send MMA, Greg Hardy shared that he’s currently focused on racking up some wins in the boxing ring. He left the door open for a potential return to MMA or another combat sport.
“I’m in the mode right now where I do what I want,” said Hardy. “I’m married to boxing right now though. That’s my current passion. I enjoy everything else and I love fight sports in general. I can’t wait to get back to MMA and show them boys that G Hardy can wrestle. I had to cut 50 pounds to do it so I wasn’t in the best shape but once I lose this weight, take on a couple of boxing aficionados, knock them out of the ring and walk away with a belt. I’m excited to go back to even kickboxing.”
