It’s probably been a pretty good last week for NBA champion Tristan Thompson.
He celebrated his 32nd birthday and not even a full week later, he learned he would get the opportunity to get back into the league.
As reported by The Athletic’s Sham Charania, Thompson will be working out with the Lakers sometime this week. The move makes sense for both sides.
Thompson won a championship with LeBron James and the Cavs back in 2016 so he is familiar playing high intense basketball with a lot of pressure plus the Lakers really need the depth in their front court.
Only time will tell if the Lakers will give him an opportunity because they’re also working out big man Tony Bradley.
Here is some more info about the potential signing.
