Grizzlies Ja Morant Does Shooting Celebration During Game After Being Accused of Pulling Out Gun on Teenager

If you have any questions or concerns about whether the recent gun charge against Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was something he was concerned about, let this latest report erase most of your doubts.

During this week’s game against the Houston Rockets, Ja Morant was caught on camera flashing gun signs in celebration of his teammate, Desmond Bane, hitting a three-point shot. This comes on the heels of Morant facing allegations of pointing a firearm at a teenager he hit last summer.

Neither Morant nor the Grizzlies have yet to release a statement to address the reports made by the police. According to the New York Post, the police report includes allegations of Morant threatening a mall security guard just days before the incident with the teenager happened. No arrests were reportedly made at that time.

NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe had some advice to give Ja during ThursThursday’sode of “Undisputed” with his partner Skip Bayless. He didn’t mince words, either:

“Ja, you’re going to have to move differently,” Sharpe said. “You’re in a different stratosphere now. I just think he needs to conduct himself as a person that’s in that same stratosphere.”

”He portrays that he is like something that he is not … He’s hustling backwards … Ja, just move differently, bruh… I would never give you any advice on how to play basketball, but I would try to give you some advice on how to move. Let somebody else’s lesson be your lesson.”

“Ja there are a lot of lessons out there for you to learn without having to learn that same lesson through your own hardship, that’s all I would say to him.”

Their animosities aside, Sharpe makes a lot of sense. Ja is in a position where he can make generational wealth, set his family up for life, and never have to worry about being behind on a bill again. He shouldn’t be anything to put all that in jeopardy to try to prove he’s on from the streets. There are people out there that would love to see Ja fall. Some even go as far as to plot said downfall. Sharpe got into it with Ja’s father, Tee Morant, during a game that pitted the Grizzlies against the Los Angeles Lakers.
