Ravens GM Eric DeCosta Says Ravens Are Thinking About Drafting a QB in First Round

The NFL Draft is closely approaching, which means the rumors are heating up.

One of the more significant stories from the NFL’s offseason and heading into the draft is what will happen with Ravens’ Lamar Jackson. Will he remain with the Ravens, or will he be traded? Lamar went to Twitter to be transparent and let his fans know that he requested to be traded, but nothing has happened since the request.

Now headed into the draft, it leaves a lot of questions about what the Ravens will do. Turns out, scouring to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, the Ravens could take a QB when they draft in the first round this year.

They declined to answer any questions about Lamar Jackson at Wednesday’s pre-draft press conference, but GM Eric DeCosta didn’t rule out taking a QB in the first round.

“It depends on the board, it really does,” DeCosta said. “I mean, I’d have to say yes because we have quarterbacks in our top 31. So just based on that alone, simple math, I would have to say yes.”

“I would say there’s probably more than four guys that can be significant quarterbacks in this league in this draft class,”

There are still a couple of weeks until the draft but time is winding down, and if they do take a QB in the first round, hopefully, Lamar will have a home before then.
