An MLB pitcher seems to be of the view that other persons are responsible for cleaning up his kids’ messes. But social media has let him know that’s a wild expectation.
Sydney Rae Bass, the wife of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass, was flying with their two young daughters (five and two) and had a bit of an incident with United Airlines employees.
The toddlers were given popcorn by a flight attendant and made a mess with it as young children are wont to do. Sydney, who is pregnant, was later approached by the attendant with wet wipes and a trash bag and was told to clean the mess because the popcorn posed a safety hazard.
Anthony was not on the flight, nor was Sydney’s sister Jessie James Decker. But they both took to social media to criticize the airline staff, with the pitcher heading to Twitter and Jessie, who is a singer, posting via her IG story.
The player tweeted on this multiple times, replying to persons who tried to tell him he was wrong. But nearly everyone who commented on his posts sided with the airline.
While Bass is coming off a great year with the Miami Marlins and the Blue Jays in 2022, it wasn’t enough to get him fake sympathy on Twitter.
Bass would later claim that United was dealing with the employee.
Most people are against Bass and say his kids should have just cleaned up after themselves when they waste food on the floor. Who do you side with?
