What’s Next For The Bloodline After Jimmy Uso Turned on Roman Reigns

What an absolutely incredible weekend of pro wrestling. WWE, NXT, and AEW pulled out all the stops to deliver the best possible product to wrestling fans all over the world. Each brand put out cinema level matches, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk about the one storyline that’s been dominating the world of wrestling for the last 2+ years.

The Bloodline

WWE held their Night of Champions PPV event – which featured Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn in a tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships—in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The night also marked Sami’s first time being in the country in five years – a moment so significant that Roman nearly broke character during their Media Event the night before. You could see how happy he was for Sami.

The match had just about everything you could hope for in terms of in-ring fighting, but it was the storyline aspect that grabbed everyone’s attention. It was no secret to most fans that Owens and Zayn would retain, the question was how WWE would go about it. They did it in the most spectacular way possible:

Jimmy Uso superkicking Roman Reigns TWICE, costing him and Sikoa a chance to win the tag team championships.

The Usos showed up shortly after the in-ring official took a spear by Roman, attacking Kevin Owens on the outside first then turning their attention to Sami Zayn in the ring. Sami eats two superkicks before ducking out of the way, causing Jimmy & Jey to hit their brother Solo with double superkicks inadvertently. Roman was not happy. Not at all.

The man berates both brothers in the ring, which led to the undisputed champ eating a kick to the face by Jimmy Uso. The fans in attendance, as well as fans across the world, erupted in cheers. Jey tried to reason with his brother, but it falls short.

“I’m doing what you should’ve done a long time ago!” Jimmy shouted before hitting his cousin with yet another superkick.

This moment a pivotal point in their storyline, as fans were starting to lose interest after Cody lost to Roman at this year’s Wrestlemania. The Bloodline Civil War has been sparked, and it may see WWE Legend Rikishi enter the mix.

Rikishi had been sending out some cryptic tweets following the conclusion of the match, with the biggest one being a GIF of him saying “I’m gonna make him an offer” with the blood emoji. The emoji been synonymous with the Bloodline since its official creation.

Monday and Friday nights have just become even more must see.
