Over the past ten or so years, Stephen Curry has been one of the NBA’s top players. The 35-year-old is still an outstanding player; during the 2022–23 NBA season, he averaged 29.4 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 6.3 APG.
Curry will eventually leave the league, though, and that much is certain. Speaking of retirement, Steph recently discussed his plans during an interview with “BackstageOL.”
“Oh, absolutely,” Curry answered about still getting nervous before games. “I feel like that if I don’t get nervous or adrenaline, that’ll be the sign that I need to quit because it won’t matter. The nerves, obviously, just indicate that I want to be successful and it’s meaningful what I’m doing. So I hope to be nervous for many more years to come.”
Four championships have been won by Stephen Curry over his spectacular 14-year NBA career. Curry doesn’t want to forget the feeling of being anxious before a game, though, despite that.
He has not yet reached the stage where he no longer feels anxious and eventually stops playing basketball.
What Time Will Stephen Curry Leave The NBA?
Given his playing style, Stephen Curry, who is still a phenomenal talent, can play in the NBA for a number of years.
The Golden State Warriors player opened up about his initial objectives for NBA longevity in a 2022 interview with Marc Stein.
Curry’s play right now, even in his 14th NBA season, makes it seem illogical for him to retire in two years, thus he should probably continue playing.
Stephen Curry’s Longevity Objectives
Marc Stein questioned Stephen Curry in two parts, asking if he would be able to continue playing basketball into the age of 40. Curry clarified that he has no true longevity objectives.
Curry claimed he still has a lot left in the tank even though he denied having any longevity aspirations. This is unquestionably wonderful news if you are a fan of Stephen Curry.
Curry’s hold on the Golden State Warriors’ all-time GOAT pyramid appears to be becoming tighter as he approaches the age of 40 and continues to play. Even though Steph may already be the Warriors’ tier 1 GOAT, it will be interesting to watch how he continues to distance himself from the competition.
