Errol Spence Jr. failed miserably against Terence Crawford, suffering his maiden career loss in the biggest welterweight clash of the era.
‘Bud’ Crawford knocked Spence Jr. out and snatched his WBC, IBF, and WBA 147 lbs title to become the new undisputed world champion. That said, both men also bagged lucrative paychecks.
Despite losing, Errol Spence Jr. pocketed a guaranteed $25 million purse, and the same goes for Terence Crawford. The duo can potentially lock horns in a rematch somewhere in 2024.
Meanwhile, ‘The Truth’ Errol Spence Jr. has taken some time out of action. He is currently spending time with family in Ibiza, Spain. The boxer dropped pictures of it on social media.
Here’s how boxing fans reacted to Errol Spence Jr’s recent Europe trip.

Per Box Rec, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended Errol Spence Jr, for medical causes until September 28, 2023. The firmer champion is now 28-1 as a professional with no world championship around his belt.
He has been a A-listed welterweight, beating several top boxers like Danny Garcia Shawn Porter, Yordenis Ugas, Kell Brook and may others.
However, ‘The Truth’ couldn’t walk out unbeaten against ‘Bud’. On the contrary. Crawford completely dominated Errol Spence Jr.
‘Bud’ put the ‘Truth’ on canvas several times until the referee had to interfere and protect Spence Jr. from taking any further punishment. The fight left all doubts regarding who is the best welterweight boxer of this generation, with Terence Crawford standing tall against everyone.
Now that Spence and Crawford are done fighting each other, it remains to be seen what they have next in the store.
