Chris Paul is ‘eager’ to establish his position with the Warriors. Paul stated to ESPN he’s unsure of exactly what his position will be in the upcoming season, but he’s happy with where his career is right now and whatever the future may hold.
“At this point in the summer, I can’t even start to even digest that [playing for the Warriors] even a little bit until we all get together. I won’t know [my role] until we get to camp. In all honesty, probably the same thing it’s always been, to hoop, leadership. With all these years of playing, the game doesn’t change so much. I’m excited to sort of figure that out.”

Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul recounted a hilarious tale about one of his first teammate workouts with Steph Curry during a recent episode of the Sloane Knows podcast.
“I remember me and Steph worked out together in Vegas, and a few of the coaches walked in. They saw me in Warriors gear and they were like, ‘This is crazy. Who would’ve thought?’ The fact that we all can talk about it and it’s not like it’s some secret… is really cool. Because it’s like that with my family, everybody who has been supporting me for all these years.”
Paul never thought he would be a Warriors player someday
When asked whether the younger version of himself would have imagined playing for the Warriors, Paul replied in the negative. Paul claims that everyone around him can now chuckle about the fact that he never imagined himself playing for Golden State, despite having competed against them as a rival for so many years.
The two point guards were able to swiftly put their past disagreements behind them in this story about one of Paul’s first practices with Curry. However, the Warriors coaches couldn’t help but notice something was up when they saw Paul wearing Golden State gear.
