Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk Undisputed Heavyweight Title Fight Officially In Plans For 2024

Oleksandr Usyk successfully defended his WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles against Daniel Dubois via 9th-round stoppage last week. Although the official low blow in round five that sent Usyk to the canvas is being deemed unfair by several people, Oleksandr Usyk is still the heavyweight world champion.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury won’t put his WBC belt on the line against former UFC champion Tyson Fury on October 28 in Riyadh. Irrespective of the outcome, Fury will hold the WBC strap, which means the potential undisputed clash between him and Usyk is still possible.

Tyson Fury’s UK Promoter Frank Warren, who also promotes Daniel Dubois, shed views on his future plans for the heavyweight division.

In a chat with TalkSport, Warren confirmed that Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk is in the works to happen in early 2024. Meanwhile, he also gave a green signal to appeal for Usyk vs Dubois 2.

It remains to be seen how Tyson Fury performs against Francis Ngannou next. Hailing from the MMA world, Ngannou will make his pro boxing debut against Fury. It’s hard to picture ‘The Predator’ beating ‘The Gypsy King’ unless it happens in reality.

Tyson Fury fought heavy punchers like Deontay Wilder, Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte, amongst many others. He beat all of them and knocked out Wilder and Whyte, two of his most ferocious opponents.

Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou- How Does The Matchup Look?

Francis Ngannou has appointed Mike Tyson as his head trainer to prepare against Tyson Fury. It is undoubtedly a great step before making his pro-boxing debut. However, Francis Ngannou cannot attack ‘The Gypsy King’ like the Brit’s previous opponents.

Tyson Fury has sheer head movement and can make his opponents miss out on a hundred hits. Nevertheless, one clean punch from Francis Ngannou can knock any person out. So, it would be unfair to write off Ngannou’s chances completely.
