Max Holloway has been suggested to retire from MMA despite knocking out The Korean Zombie in a significant style last weekend at UFC Singapore.
Number one featherweight contender Max Holloway is now on the brink of earning his fourth fight against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

5th ranked 145-pounder Ilia Topuria doesn’t seem to like the idea, as he suggested ‘Blessed MMA’ to hang the globes alongside Chan Sung Jung aka The Korean Zombie.
Turning to Twitter, Topuria wrote, “I respect these two [Max Holloway] and [The Korean Zombie], but it’s time for them to retire. [Sean O’Malley], keep rising up, and maybe one day we will share the octagon and you [Alexander Volkanovski], get ready to tap out! The masterclass is coming for you. Enjoy the weekend, everyone!”
Max Holloway responded to the tweet and wrote, “Thanks for the respect, but it’s only a matter of time lol.”

Alexander Volkanovski defended his featherweight title by stopping Yair Rodriguez next. Since Max Holloway is still the number one contender, ‘The Great’ should ideally fight him next. However, Ilia Topuria is also a valid contender who can earn a title shot.
Ahead of Topuria lies Brian Ortega, Arnold Allen, and Yair Rodriguez. It is left to see who can dethrone Alexander Volkanovski from the top spot.
Max Holloway can look into his potential fourth chance while Ilia Topuria has appeared optimistic about vanquishing ‘The Great’ Volkanovski.

Who Should Alexander Volkanovski Face Next?
Having cleanly swept the division, Alexander Volkanovski is on the verge of facing many fighters in rematches. Only Ilia Topuria has never been inside the cage against him. Hence, that can be an exciting fight for Volkanovski and all the MMA fans.
However, Max Holloway is a viable contender for the featherweight gold. The Hawaiian is 18-0 against the featherweights since 2014 except for his three losses against Volkanovski. So, a fourth fight seems to be in our way.
