Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have verbally agreed on locking horns inside the UFC cage in December 2023.
The fight has been in talks for several months, but no official date has been announced so far. While McGregor was teasing several more names other than Chandler, he announced facing ‘Iron’ Chandler next during the AJ vs Helenius boxing clash in London.
Conor McGregor was in ringside with champion Ebanie Bridges as he saw Anthony Joshua knockout Robert Helenius in front of a packed arena.
Following the bout, Conor McGregor went inside the ring and called out KSI. That said, he cleared doubts about his UFC return too.
Conor McGregor said, “[Michael] Chandler next [in] December and then [Justin] Gaethje BMF, and then we will do Nate [Diaz] trilogy.”
In response, Michael Chandler took to Twitter and wrote, “December sounds perfect to me.”

If everything goes per their words, Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler UFC Pay-Per-View is locked in for 2023. UFC President Dana White, however, hasn’t commented on it yet.

When Did Conor McGregor Fight Last?
‘Notorious’ had his last fight at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier in 2021. The trilogy fight came after Poirier became the first man to knock out Conor McGregor in an MMA contest at UFC 257.
After an intriguing and heated press conference, the UFC 264 in-cage affair ended with McGregor snapping his ankle in half. The Irishman misplanted his foot and broke it, losing the rubber fight against ‘Diamond’ Poirier via doctor stoppage.
It appeared to be a career-ending injury, as several people predicted Conor McGregor’s MMA journey to be over. Nevertheless, ‘Notorious’ has recovered completely and is willing to step up again.
Per his recent claims, he is aiming at three fights at least. Hence, fight fans still have a lot to see of ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.
