David Ortiz, the former Boston Red Sox player, was the victim of a mafia hit not too long ago. While the police claim that it was a case of mistaken identity, there were rumors that Ortiz was involved with a notorious drug kingpin’s wife who goes by the name El Diablo. However, Ortiz remained unfazed and refused to let the rumors affect him. He fought hard to recover from his injuries and emerged stronger than ever. Despite the challenges he faced, he remained committed to his goals and continued to work hard to achieve them. Today, Ortiz is once again in the news and it is just as nefarious.
David Ortiz claims that he is a “victim of extortion” as hackers obtained an old cellphone and are threatening to “sell” elements of his personal life if he doesn’t pay up.
Ortiz made the bombshell claims on Instagram in Spanish.
“They navigated through my personal life and have wanted to extort me through that,” Ortiz said, as translated by the Boston Globe.
Ortiz, 47, is a Baseball Hall of Fame inductee from his time with the Red Sox, and is currently a studio analyst for Fox Sports’ MLB coverage.
He said that it was a phone he had 15 years ago and has not used in a long time.
He said that he has reported the matter to authorities in the United States and his native Dominican Republic.
“The criminals know that we are watching them closely and here in the United States, the FBI, the DEA and now in the Dominican Republic the Intelligence Department and the police,” Ortiz said. “They are taking action over this.”
The real question is, what could possibly be on his phone from 15 years ago that would make him this nervous?
At first, I just assumed it was some n*de photos or something, but what if he had to do with steroids?
Things that make you say hmmm.
