Ex-Auburn Football Player Robert Shiver’s Wife Lindsay Hired Hitmen to Kill Him After She Was Caught Cheating

Former football player Robert Shiver says he has not yet gathered the courage to tell his three minor kids that their mother, Lindsay Shiver, hired people to kill him and is currently in jail for the attempted gruesome act.

Robert filed for divorce a few months ago after discovering that Lindsay had been unfaithful. The former baller filed for custody of the kids and their $2.5 million Thomasville mansion and also asked the court to dismiss alimony claims. Lindsay tried the normal bitter woman approach by accusing Robert of domestic violence, but since that failed, she took it to the most brutal extent possible and hired people to kill Robert.

Two weeks ago, police were investigating a break-in case when they came across the kill-for-hire texts, with Roberts being the target. According to reports, Lindsay plotted the crime with her supposed side dude, Terrance Bethel, 28, alongside Faron Newbold.

The former Auburn football player allegedly targeted by his wife in a murder-for-hire plot broke his silence Tuesday, revealing to The Post he still hasn’t had the heart to break it to his kids their mother is in jail.

Robert Shiver, 38, is back in Thomasville, Georgia, with his three children, who are all under 12, after his estranged wife Lindsay Shiver, 36, was arrested in the Bahamas last week.

The athlete was playing with his two young sons in the front yard of his sprawling Thomasville mansion Tuesday afternoon, in some of the last few moments of innocence before he has to tell the boys Bahamian police are accusing their mother of plotting their dad’s death.

“My kids don’t know the whole thing yet. I’m going to try to tell them in the next day or so,” Shiver told The Post. “They’re young.”

Shiver filed for divorce on April 5 against his former pageant queen wife after allegedly uncovering “adulterous conduct.”

He is seeking sole custody of their three children, as well as sole use of their $2.5 million Thomasville mansion.

Shiver also requested the court dismiss alimony claims, saying his wife was fully capable of taking care of herself.

His estranged wife also denied having an extramarital affair with her reported lover Terrance Bethel, 28, who was involved in the alleged murder-for-hire plot, alongside Faron Newbold, 29.

The Shivers own a house in the Bahamas, near where she met her alleged lover Bethel, a source familiar with the case told the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.

Local police stumbled on their alleged plot while investigating another case, the Bahamas Court News reported.

Authorities unearthed texts detailing the scheme while they searched the phone of a suspected burglar at Grabber’s Bar and Grill in Great Guana Cay in the Bahamas earlier this month.

It wasn’t immediately known whether Shiver, Bethel or Newbold owned the phone.

After their arrest, Lindsay Shiver, Bethel and Newbold were transported from Guana to the Caribbean country’s capital of Nassau.

They appeared in court Friday but were not required to enter a plea, according to the outlet.

The trio is due back in court Oct. 5.

Despite the alleged plot, Shiver — who met his wife at a fitness class at Auburn University in 2007 — believes everything will be fine.

“It’ll all work out,” he told The Post.

Amazingly Lindsay was let out on bail.

After all the social media perfect marriage parade, Lindsay would have actually killed Robert after cheating on him just so she could get the properties. People are really walking around with undetected mental illnesses.
