Become the greatest player to ever play their sport is the goal of any athlete who reaches the professional level in any sport. Tom Brady and Michael Jordan are two players that have done so in the sports of football and basketball, respectively.
After winning six titles in eight seasons with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, Michael Jordan probably cemented his status as the GOAT of all sports. But as soon as he claimed his fourth Super Bowl, Tom Brady intended to surpass him, a former teammate said.
“Me and Brady are training in LA at his gym, and he has the location of where the Super Bowl is on his whiteboard in his home gym. And it’s like March,” “And I’m like, ‘What is that?’ And he’s like, ‘That’s where we’re gonna play the last game.’ And I was like we’re gonna get you to pass Joe Montana, cuz four, you know, four Super Bowls. “He looks at me with that golden stare, with those sizzling, steel blue eyes, and says, ‘I’m not going for Montana, I’m going for Jordan.’”
When Tom Brady won his fourth Super Bowl in 2014, many people believed that was the last one he would ever win. But against all odds, he continued to win three more races, bringing his total to seven. That is one more title than Michael Jordan won while playing for the Chicago Bulls throughout his remarkable career.
Tom Brady was inspired even more when Michael Jordan trash talked him
Sports GOATs cannot be compared, but the quantity of titles and medals can always be counted. And even though Tom Brady finally overtook Michael Jordan, it wasn’t until 2015, when Jordan still had only four rings, that Jordan took some jabs at Brady.
“Come back to me when you’ve got six championships,” Brady was allegedly informed by Jordan while playing golf in the Bahamas.

Tom Brady can undoubtedly outdo Michael Jordan now that he has won his seventh Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. Michael Jordan is the greatest player in basketball history, but Tom Brady can confidently claim to have a strong case for being ranked above Jordan in all sports.
