Prior to its scheduled release on September 8, the rollout for the upcoming NBA 2K game is beginning to pick up momentum, which means it is time to publish player ratings. In the basketball world, the 2K rating has a lot of sway.
As motivation to develop and boost their ranking over the season, players do take it seriously. Additionally, there might be some heated discussion about who should receive a higher ranking than whom among supporters.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a star for the Oklahoma City Thunder, is among the first players to have his rating made public. He received an amazing score of 93 overall.

How does Shai rating compares to his peers
In light of the player’s recent 30+ point per game and top-5 MVP candidate season, the rating appears to be quite accurate. He will rank among the top 15 players overall with a score of 93, which corresponds to his position in real life. It represents a significant improvement over his initial 2K23 rating of only an 88.
Gilgeous-Alexander was rated at a 94 at the conclusion of the NBA 2K23 cycle, though. Along with Donovan Mitchell, Jaylen Brown, and Jamal Murray, Gilgeous-Alexander’s 2K24 rating was also made public, and he was the guard with the highest rating.
The only other guards rated higher than Gilgeous-Alexander who have been publicly declared are Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, Luka Doncic, and Stephen Curry. The ratings for the remaining members of the Oklahoma City Thunder squad have not yet been made public, but they most likely will in the weeks leading up to the launch of 2K24.
Although it is a decent ranking, Gilgeous-Alexander has not yet commented on it and will undoubtedly work to improve it before the end of the 2K24 cycle.
