Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk Will Be Revisited After Both Champions Fight Francis Ngannou and Daniel Dubois

A potential clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk at this point would have produced the undisputed heavyweight world champion, a status that was last held by ‘Lion’ Lennox Lewis.

Tyson Fury currently holds the WBC belt while Usyk holds the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles. This verifies a fight between the two but nit before both men get done with their immediate opponents.

Tyson Fury is scheduled to meet former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a boxing contest on October 28 in Riyadh. Although the WBC belt wouldn’t be at stake, Fury still cannot afford to lose against a debutant pro boxer.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk will keep his belts on the line against ‘Dynamite Dubois’ on August 26. If Usyk loses against Dubois, he will miss a shot at the undisputed heavyweight fight.

According to reporter Michael Benson, Bob Arum has insisted on wanting to secure the Fury vs Usyk fight in the future.

Benson’s exact words were, “Bob Arum has insisted that they will revisit Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk and once again try to make the undisputed heavyweight world title fight after Fury vs Francis Ngannou and Usyk vs Daniel Dubois.”

Oleksandr Usyk, an undisputed cruiserweight champion, shook several pundits by outclassing AJ back-to-back in two fights to earn the tag of the heavyweight champion. He is now one belt short off becoming a two-weight undisputed champion like Terence Crawford.

Is Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk The Fight To Make?

Anthony Joshua was considered a perfect rival to Tyson Fury for several years. Nevertheless, Oleksandr Usyk snubbed those talks and cemented himself as a solid heavyweight force out of nowhere.

On looking at Usyk’s performance against Dereck Chisora, several experts denounced his chances against AJ. In their response, Usyk completely dominated Joshua in both fights.

It remains to be seen whether Tyson Fury can handle so much from a southpaw like Usyk. Both Fury ad Usyk are undefeated world champions and it verifies them to go against each other at some point.
