Sean O’Malley became the new UFC Bantamweight champion by knocking out Aljamain Sterling in the UFC 292 main event. What many thought would be a close fight, turned out to be lopsidedly in favor of ‘Sugar’.
Sean O’Malley didn’t let Sterling capitalize on his wrestling abilities and defended multiple takedown attempts.

That said, ‘Sugar’ also kept hunting for a proper connection. Following the first round, Sean O’Malley grabbed his chance in round two and left with a massive win. He clipped the former champion with a clean right and then struck more punches.
In just 0:51 minutes of round two, Sean O’Malley sealed his fate as the new UFC Bantamweight champion.
While Aldo lost his crown in the main event, Zhang Weili successfully defended his women’s strawweight championship against Amanda Lemos via unanimous decision. The Chinese star dominated Lemos for all three rounds and earned herself a deserving win.
