Byron Murphy of the Minnesota Vikings received quite the message from Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Mayfield stiff-armed Murphy on a rushing play during the first game of the season on Sunday. A furious Mayfield approached the seasoned cornerback after being tackled and yelled at Murphy to put weight on.

Murphy is described as weighing 190 pounds, while Mayfield is listed as weighing 215. Mayfield is around 6-foot-1 in height compared to the former’s height of 5-foot-11.
Mayfield completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 173 yards and two touchdowns, coupled with 11 rushing yards on eight runs, which was just enough to help the Buccaneers upset the Vikings. Mayfield only took one sack that day and didn’t throw a single interception.
Mayfield has been a bit of a journeyman in recent years
In just three years, the 2018 first-round pick has played for four different teams. The Cleveland Browns dealt quarterback Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers in the summer after the AFC North team acquired Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans.
After a rough start in which he lost five of his first six games while only tossing six touchdowns, Mayfield was cut by the Panthers. The Los Angeles Rams signed Mayfield to play the team’s last four games after losing Matthew Stafford for the season to injury.
This Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, Mayfield and the Bucs will aim to make it 2-0 on the season against the Chicago Bears.
