Deion Sanders defies expectations in every way. Additionally, it appears that the new football coach in Colorado did away with a long-standing custom in favor of something far more appropriate for “Prime Time.”
Since Sanders’ team lacks a captain, no players sport the coveted “C” on their jerseys. Instead, during the team’s 45-42 surprise victory over TCU on Saturday, players may be seen wearing a “L” or a “D” in place of the captain’s insignia. According to Curtis Snyder, associate athletic director for the Buffaloes, Sanders has apparently designated some players as “Dawgs” or “Leaders.”

Strange titles given to the players by sanders
Sanders dispatched kicker Jace Feely, cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, defensive lineman Shane Cokes, and quarterback Shedeur Sanders to the coin toss before the unranked Colorado team startled the football world.
Feely and Hunter donned a “D” while Cokes and Shedeur, Sanders’ son, wore a “L.”
This weekend, the youthful signal-caller unquestionably prevailed. When he threw for 510 yards and four touchdowns in his debut, he shattered the school record for passing yards. Hunter, meanwhile, caught 11 receptions for 119 yards while also intercepting one.
Well, Sanders is here to entertain be it off the field or on it . Long may it continue!
