Is superstar Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings becoming dissatisfied in the Gopher State? For starters, before to the current season, the Vikings and Justin Jefferson were unable to come to an agreement on a long-term extension.
Second, despite having lost all three games while recording 27 catches for 458 yards and a touchdown, Minnesota is wasting Jefferson’s stellar 2023 season. Third, Jefferson left a mysterious Instagram story caption reading, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
Unfortunately for Jefferson, the Vikings can always franchise tag if they can’t come up with a new deal.

He more than likely is asking for a 5/ year 290 million, with 260 million guaranteed, contract. Vikings can’t afford to pay him

Take any trade rumors you hear or read during the season with caution as Jefferson hasn’t explicitly asked the Vikings for a trade. If Minnesota did decide to trade Jefferson, it would probably happen in the offseason when teams are more prepared to offer top dollar for a player of Jefferson’s caliber.
Jefferson’s rookie contract had a fifth-year option, which the Vikings chose to exercise this past offseason, keeping him under contract until the 2024 campaign. Of course, the Vikings’ chances of keeping JJ in the long run would increase if they built a genuine championship contender around him.
But history does not favor Minnesota. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, only six teams have advanced to the postseason after a 0-3 start since 1979. The most recent team to do this was the Houston Texans in 2018.
Since the NFL expansion in 1979, only 6 teams have made the playoffs after starting 0-3.
It's fair to say these are must-win games coming up for the 0-2 clubs out there.— Dianna Russini (@DMRussini) September 21, 2023
