According to reports, one construction worker has lost his life after sustaining a major laceration to his neck during the building of the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix track.

A man working on preparations for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix tragically lost his life after sustaining a “major laceration” to his neck over the weekend.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the Bellagio Fountains over reports of an injured worker. The male worker was transported to an area hospital and subsequently died. His name and age were not released.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be investigating the workplace incident, police said. Further details surrounding the incident have yet to be made public.
The Vegas Grand Prix circuit is set to wind its way through downtown, passing all the major landmarks that include the likes of Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, the Venetian, and The Sphere, as per F1.

The 3.8-mile track will feature fourteen corners and is set to cost around $ 560 million to construct. The construction of the event has been in the butt for locals trying to get to and from work as well as tourists who aren’t able to move around the city due to closed roads.
The race is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 19. It will be only the third time the city has hosted a Grand Prix, with them playing F1 in 1981 and 1982.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix has been granted long-term permission to be staged on the famous Strip in the city until 2032.
